These lithographs are loose representations of a human cross-section of the chest.

This is the proof in black ink on Rives white.

Monoprinting
Rolling out a thin layer of pale warm grey lithography ink on perspex secured to the litho stone. Using a rag with white spirit to create the outline of the body.

This print is inked in a dark red over the monoprint on Rives Tan paper.

This is a red lithograph on Rives Grey paper overpainted with a wash of sepia watercolour.
This final overpainted lithograph below uses different hues of red and orange, as well as some red oxide washes. The black lithograph is printed on Rives Cream.

The watercolour can be used heavily or in light washes.
